The Metafields That Train AI How To Sell Your Products

Your product page was built for humans. AI shopping agents don't browse, they parse. These are the fields that determine whether your product shows up when a high-intent shopper asks an AI to find exactly what you sell.

We’ll use this PDP of the Bessie Tee as an example :)

Group 1: High Impact Metafields

Your product title, category, material, color, and care instructions are the fields AI agents hit first. If these are incomplete or buried in copy, your product doesn't make the shortlist.

Group 2: Listing Enrichment Metafields

Garment measurements, weight, and GTINs are what separate a product an agent can recommend confidently from one it skips. High-intent shoppers ask specific questions. These fields answer them.

Group 3: Default Metafields

Your description, brand name, and inventory status are live by default; however default isn't the same as done. An out-of-date description, inconsistent brand field, or laggy inventory sync quietly removes you from results you should already be winning.
